Congressman Cory Gardner released the following statement after voting to extend three legal authorities in the Patriot Act:
“This vote was for a ten-month extension of three provisions of the Patriot Act that authorize law enforcement to use the same tools to catch terrorists that they use to catch drug dealers. These provisions will allow our intelligence community to stay ahead of terror suspects and protect our country against terrorists operating within our borders.”
