GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO—The Rasmussen Group today released a poll showing that John Hickenlooper's once insurmountable lead is now surmountable, with insurgent conservative independent Tom Tancredo closing to within 8 points of the Denver Mayor.Trailing by 21 percent 3 short weeks ago, the Rasmussen poll today shows Tancredo with 35 percent to Hickenlooper’s 43.
"Mayor Hickenlooper is a tax-and-spend liberal, and as the public focuses on this reality, Hickenlooper's lead is going to disappear,” said Bay Buchanan, Tancredo’s campaign manager. “Pay attention liberals, pundits and naysayers: Tom Tancredo can win this race."
