AMNESTY! ANOTHER KEN BUCK CANDID MOMENT

Norton: Too many politicians change their stripes when they go to Washington, D.C. Ken Buck is selling out his conservative values in the middle of the campaign.

Denver, CO - Jane Norton blasted Ken Buck for his latest "caught on tape" candid moment, this time in a USA Today interview where Buck said he would be willing to consider supporting citizenship for illegal immigrants.

Norton, who was endorsed by immigration hawk and Arizona Governor Jan Brewer last week, ripped Buck for his reversal.

"Amnesty is unacceptable. I believe that. Ken Buck used to,” Norton said. "Too many politicians change their stripes when they go to Washington, D.C. Ken Buck is selling out his conservative values in the middle of the campaign."

According to USA Today, Buck's evolution on immigration is full circle:

“Buck supports Arizona's tough new immigration law but says the limited resources of law enforcement should be directed at securing the border and arresting illegal immigrants who have committed crimes. It's unrealistic to try to deport all illegal immigrants, he says in the interview. Once the border has been secured, he doesn't rule out considering a path to legal status for those who are here illegally.” (Susan Page, “In Colorado, Reflections Of An Anxious Electorate,” USA Today, 7/21/10)

In response, the Norton campaign launched a radio ad in the closing days of the campaign that highlights the mounting evidence that Ken Buck lacks the credibility to be a U.S. Senator. The ad chastises Buck for caving on the amnesty question.

Entitled “Grip,” the ad highlights Ken Buck’s uneven positions on key issues, especially his startling admission that he supports amnesty for illegal immigrants.

ANNCR: Is Ken Buck losing his grip?

First, Buck said we should vote for him because he does not wear high heels.

Then Buck insulted Tea Party leaders.

Now, Ken Buck tells the USA Today that he would consider letting illegal immigrants cut to the front of the citizenship line.

Ken Buck says deportation of illegal aliens is unrealistic.

Buck says he could support a "touchback" law where illegal aliens become legal citizens after voluntarily going home for only a few weeks.

Another Ken Buck candid moment. This time, that means amnesty for illegal immigrants and an open invitation for millions more to cross our borders illegally.

Maybe that’s why Arizona Governor Jan Brewer is supporting Jane Norton. Governor Brewer signed Arizona's tough new immigration law; Governor Brewer says we can count on Jane Norton to crack down on illegal immigration.

JANE NORTON: I’m Jane Norton, running for Senate. I approved this message.
