FORMER U.S. SENATOR WAYNE AND JOAN ALLARD ENDORSE SCOTT MCINNIS TO BE COLORADO'S NEXT GOVERNOR

Stressing that Scott McInnis "has a proven conservative record of reining in government spending and fighting tax increases," former U.S. Senator Wayne Allard and his wife Joan today endorsed McInnis for Governor.

Senator Allard said that McInnis would be a strong adversary to federal encroachment on states' rights and a staunch advocate of the 10th Amendment.

"We need a governor who will stand up to overreaching federal mandates, restore budget discipline, and unravel the failed policies that have made Colorado a less affordable place to live, work, and raise a family," said Senator Allard. "Scott McInnis is the right choice for the job."

Joan Allard emphasized the importance of electing a Governor who would work to create a strong economic climate to provide opportunity for Colorado's families and future generations.

"Scott will stand up for Colorado's families, by restoring fiscal discipline to the budget and making Colorado a place of opportunity and promise for our children," she said. "Scott will work hard for all of Colorado and be a leader we can all be proud of."

"I'm deeply honored to have the endorsement of the Wayne and Joan Allard," McInnis said. "They are highly respected throughout the state. Senator Allard served Colorado with distinction and is an expert on a number of critical issues facing our state."

"I've known Scott for years, and his common sense conservative values make him the strongest nominee for our party, and will make him a great governor too," said Senator Allard.
