NICHOL SEEKS RE-ELECTION

Decision motivated by desire to continue supporting her special interest -- the citizens of Adams County

February 13, 2012 - District 2 Adams County Commissioner, Alice J. Nichol, will run for re-election to the Board of Commissioners in November 2012.

“Adams County has been through a lot of changes and it’s a new year with a new plan to move forward. I’ve always been transparent in my dealings within the county. I’m inspired to continue my path of serving the residents of Adams County supported by reform efforts to improve the county’s financial transparency and integrity,” stated Nichol.

Only the second woman in history to hold the top office in Adams County, Nichol brings a solid background of experience to the board, including serving Adams County as State Representative (1992-1997), and District 24 State Senator (1998-2003). Additionally, she represents her constituents by serving on the Front Range Airport Authority as Chairwoman and the Executive Board for Adams County Economic Development.

An Adams County native, Nichol and her husband, Ron, have four daughters and five grandchildren, all Colorado residents.

You are invited to join Nichol at her campaign kick-off party on Thursday, February 23 from 4:30-7:00 p.m. at Mickey’s Top Sirloin, 6950 Broadway, Denver.
