Second Reading Could End Commerce City Elected Officials' Retirement

The Commerce City Council adopted the Elected Officials' Retirement System by Ordinance 764 in 1986. Since the date of its adoption, the benefits paid under the plan have continued to increase. The present City Council has expressed concern regarding the budgetary issues for funding the plan in the future. Therefore, the proposed ordinance was directed by the City Council for its consideration. Click here to see amending ordinance (this will be a second reading)
