Show them How It's Done; Coloradans Invited to Take Their Congressman to Work

Congressman Ed Perlmutter is inviting Coloradans to take him to work with them for a day so he can learn more about what they need to their jobs better and help rebuild our economy. Workers and businesses can enter a contest through the Perlmutter for Colorado website.

“As a nation, we need to move forward together and focus on rebuilding our economy and getting Coloradans back to work,” said Perlmutter. “With that in mind, I've started putting in some hours at local businesses in our district to learn how they operate and find out what would help them grow.”

Perlmutter’s first training day came at a grocery store, where he already spends regular weekends holding “Government in the Grocery” listening sessions. Video of the visit can be seen here.

“Let's face it,” said Perlmutter, “especially through the spectacle of the last few weeks, the partisan politics and gamesmanship in Congress is hurting our economy. It's been more than 200 days and Washington Republicans have not put forth one single bill to boost jobs. Americans want to work; Americans need jobs now.”
