Brighton voters could see 8 different 2011 Ballot Questions

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Brighton, Colorado Submitting to the Registered Electors of the City of Brighton at a Regular Municipal Election to be Held as a Mail Ballot Election on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, the Questions of:

(A) Whether to Amend Article III, Section 3.2 of the City of Brighton Charter Regarding when Regular Elections Shall be Held;
(B) Whether to Amend Article III of the City of Brighton Charter by Repealing Section 3.6 Regarding the Number of Votes Required for Election of the Mayor and Council Members;
(C) Whether to Amend Article IV, Section 4.5(C) of the City of Brighton Charter Regarding When the Mayor and Councilmembers Shall Take Office;
(D) Whether to Amend Article V, Section 5.6(D) of the City of Brighton Charter Regarding City
Ordinances and Conflicts of Interest;
(E) Whether to Amend Article V, Section 5.10(A) of the City of Brighton Charter Clarifying the
Required Affirmative Votes for Passage of an Emergency Ordinance;
(F) Whether to Amend Article VI and Article XVII of the City of Brighton Charter by the
Addition of a New Section 6.8 Regarding Single Subject Requirements for Initiated and
Referred Matters and the Addition of a New Section 17.11 Regarding Single Subject
Requirements for Petitions Proposing Charter Amendments;
(G) Whether to Amend Article VII, Section 7.3 of the City of Brighton Charter by the Addition of
a New Subsection 7.3(J) Regarding the Administration of the Compensation and Benefits for
City Employees;
(H) Whether to Amend Article XIX, Section 19.17 of the City of Brighton Charter Clarifying the
Definition of “Newspaper” and Sections 19.19(B) and (C) Regarding Publication or Posting;
Setting the Ballot Titles for Each Question; and Setting Forth Other Details Related Thereto.
