Public Notice

The Adams County Sheriff's Office was notified on June 6, 2011 of eligibility for funding through the Office of Justice Programs, 2011 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program. This grant, in the amount of $52,921 can be used to fund state and local initiatives, technical assistance, training, personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, and criminal justice information systems for criminal justice that will improve or enhance such areas as: law enforcement programs; prosecution and court programs; prevention and education programs; corrections and community corrections programs; drug treatment and enforcement programs; planning, evaluation, and technology improvements programs; crime victim and witness programs (other than compensation). The Sheriff's Office is planning to apply for this grant and is required to provide an assurance this application was made public.
