Lakewood, CO -- Earlier yesturday the Associated Press erroneously reported that U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter’s regular Government in the Grocery program is on hold in the wake of the Arizona shootings. Rep. Perlmutter has not made any decisions about how to move forward with the meetings he regularly holds with constituents in grocery stores around the district.Perlmutter in consultation with law enforcement, the grocery stores and his staff plan to evaluate the Government in the Grocery program in the coming days to determine how to move forward. The safety of everyone participating is Ed’s top priority.
Since being elected in 2006, Perlmutter has held more than 70 meetings with constituents in grocery stores within the 7th Congressional District.
