Colorado Republican Chairman Dick Wadhams made the following statement on the President's State of the Union Address: "Americans were offered a stark contrast in fiscal responsibility today. President Obama rejected his own deficit reduction commission while calling for dramatic new spending he calls an 'investment.' President Obama's 'spending freeze' does nothing more than lock in spending increases. Meanwhile, congressional Republicans voted today to return to 2008 domestic spending levels before President Obama's failed trillion dollar stimulus bill was passed. Republican Congressman Paul Ryan is right, the Obama-Democratic 'spending binge' must be stopped."
