DREAM Act Passes the US House and is Moving On in the US Senate!

This morning, the United States Senate voted to table the cloture vote on the DREAM Act. Despite what it may seem, this is actually a very positive, strategic decision to buy time to build more support for the DREAM Act.

Senators Reid and Durbin have listened to our concerns and to the historic House vote last night. They wanted to delay the DREAM Act vote untill next week in order to cultivate the necessary votes to secure passage of the bill.

The immigrant communities of Colorado are optimistic and are working hard to make sure that the DREAM Act becomes a law in the near future.
