CCA Statement: Hickenlooper Becomes Governor

ARVADA, Colo. November 4, 2010 – Colorado Cattlemen’s Association (CCA) congratulates and is looking forward to working with Governor-Elect John Hickenlooper. The Governor-Elect has been invited to speak on November 18th at CCA’s Mid-Winter Conference in Colorado Springs.

“The Governor of Colorado plays an integral part in promoting and enhancing Colorado’s beef industry,” said Robbie LeValley, CCA President. “CCA is looking forward to working with Governor-Elect Hickenlooper on topics such as preserving Colorado’s wildlife and natural resources; water quality and quantity; and ultimately enhancing the business environment for Colorado beef producers.”

Hickenlooper has a transition website in place which lists his five major goals for transition into office. CCA highly encourages its members, and others vested in the beef industry, to get involved by volunteering to be a committee member. Hickenlooper has also planned Regional Meetings to discuss development strategies.
