Frazier Asks Perlmutter to Oppose More Government Stimulus Spending

Obama, Pelosi planning $50 BILLION more in wasteful spending

Wheat Ridge, CO – Ryan Frazier, candidate for the 7th Congressional District, today asked incumbent Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-Golden) to oppose another wasteful stimulus package proposed by President Barack Obama and Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The new six-year program will cost the American taxpayer at least another $50 billion on top of the TRILLION dollar stimulus spending spree supported by Perlmutter 18 months ago. Since then, America’s unemployment rate has increased to 9.6 percent, despite promises from Congressional Democrats that it would not surpass eight percent if their spending packages went into effect.

“I hope Ed listened to his constituents over the August recess and will oppose more wasteful government spending,” Frazier said. “The people of Colorado’s 7th Congressional District are sick and tired of Washington insiders and their spending addictions.”

Media outlets have recently reported on the failure of President Obama’s stimulus policies, ironically named the ‘Summer of Recovery’, which Perlmutter supported. The American economy continues to shed jobs while the national unemployment rate rises.

“With our economy struggling to recover, America needs leaders, not rubberstamps,” Frazier concluded. “As the next Congressman from the 7th Congressional District, I will rein in out-of-control spending, balance the budget, and provide tax incentives to small businesses in order to get Americans back to work.”
