Fraternal Order of Police Endorses Ryan Frazier for Congress

Aurora FOP Lodge 49 praises Frazier’s leadership as Councilman

Wheat Ridge, CO – The Board of Directors for the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 49 of the Aurora Police Department today announced their unanimous decision to endorse Ryan Frazier’s candidacy for the 7th Congressional District of Colorado. Frazier earned the endorsement for his leadership role as an Aurora City Councilman and his dedication to public safety. Frazier was instrumental in bringing COPLINK to the City of Aurora. COPLINK was designed to give law enforcement the ability to rapidly search national and local databases and criminal records in order to catch criminal suspects as fast as possible.

Sergeant William Revelle, the former President of Lodge 49 said, “We support Ryan Frazier because he works to implement new solutions to problems facing our community. Ryan led the effort to bring COPLINK to our city – which was instrumental to our crime-fighting abilities. COPLINK helps our police officers catch bad guys faster. Ryan Frazier is a fighting visionary that stands up for the people, and we are proud to endorse his candidacy for the 7th Congressional District.”

TO: Ryan Frazier

FROM: Board of Directors, Lodge 49

REGARDING: Endorsement of Ryan Frazier for Congress

Mr. Frazier,

Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 49 represents almost 200 members of the Aurora Police Department and Aurora Detention Facility. Our members are hard working employees who take pride in their careers and keeping our community safe. They look for leadership that reflects their characteristics of duty, honor and integrity.

From the beginning, our Lodge offered a new approach to working with City officials. We were tired of the old-style working relationships that separated employees from the City management team. We wanted to go back to an open and direct working relationship that focused on solving our community’s problems.

It was during those early years we came to know you. We discovered that you share our values of duty, honor and integrity – values we’re sure you learned over a lifetime of public service. We observed your willingness to reach out to the community and re-open communication lines with a new and experienced voice. We watched as you made informed decisions on complex issues after listening to everyone involved in our community. You have been honorable in your dealings with Lodge 49, and, we feel, with the City of Aurora.

As representatives of the law enforcement community and for the reasons described above, the Board of Directors voted unanimously to endorse your candidacy for the 7th Congressional District in Colorado. We believe in you, your values, and believe you will represent Colorado well in Washington as our next Congressman.

Sincerely,

Board of Directors, Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #49 – Aurora Police Department
