Romanoff Campaign Responds to Failing, Flailing Foe

Today, Romanoff Campaign Manager Bill Romjue issued the following statement, countering earlier remarks by Bennet spokesperson Trevor Kincaid:

The desperation in this Senate race is all in the Bennet campaign, and for good reason: a campaign in free fall, dispirited supporters, no ground organization, negative ratings in poll after poll, $5 million wasted and nothing to show for it.

It's the Bennet campaign that was untruthful about Andrew Romanoff and PAC money, and the Bennet campaign that distorted the facts about Andrew Romanoff and Social Security, and it's Michael Bennet and his campaign that have invested so heavily in projecting a false image to the voters of Colorado. Bennet and Anschutz are the "turnaround experts" who claim to have created jobs and restructured a company. Actually Bennet was an operative for Anschutz, a corporate raider who shed 4,000 jobs, who forced companies into bankruptcy, shafted vendors, squeezed out shareholders, conducted an IPO to raise new capital from the public, and then exploited new investors, pulling hundreds of millions from the new company.

Regal Entertainment's market cap is only $2.1 billion today; it was worth $3.7 billion in 2010 dollars when the IPO was marketed to the public in 2002.
