Bennet Earns Endorsements from the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Sierra Club and Clean Water Action

Michael Bennet earned endorsements from two important conservationist groups this week, highlighting his commitment to protecting Colorado's natural resources and growing the state's new energy economy.

On Friday, Michael earned the endorsement of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Sierra Club and the backing of the national Sierra Club. The Sierra Cub is America's oldest, largest, and most influential grassroots environmental organization. Colorado's Rocky Mountain Chapter has more than 25,000 members.

On Thursday, Michael also earned the endorsement of Clean Water Action, which has more than 20,000 members in Colorado. Clean Water Action endorsed Michael because "as a U.S. Senator, Michael has been a leader on clean energy and protecting our valuable water resources. He will stand up for Main Street, Colorado values and help bring clean energy jobs to Colorado."

In endorsing Michael, the Sierra Club and Clean Water Action join the League of Conservation Voters and thousands of other Colorado residents dedicated to preserving Colorado's natural beauty and abundant natural resources. They support Michael in his fight to grow the state's new energy economy and to protect Colorado's great outdoors for future generations.
